Baba Baidyanath Temple is one of the most scared abodes of Lord Shiva and also known as Baba Baidyanath Dham. Baba Baidyanath Dham is the prime attraction in Deoghar. The Baidyanath Temple is also a shakti peeth. Here the heart of mata sati fell, hence is also known as Hridaya Peeth. It is said that all the whishes of those who come here are fulfilled. for this reason, this ling is also called “Kamana Ling”
This Jyotirlinga is also called “Kamna Linga”. It is believed that a person who goes to this place gets freedom from all kinds of diseases and all kinds of sins. Bad or negative thoughts are removed from a person’s mind. The person attains a higher level of spiritual consciousness.

Dudh Abhishek is a form of worshiping Lord Shiva in Rudra avatar, in which a Shivlinga or jyotirlinga, symbolized by Lord Shiva, is bathed with milk in a thin stream from a brass vessel, which is continuously poured with the deity. Chanting of Vedic Mantra is called Rudra Sukta which is also known as Rudri Path.
