Deoghar City

Deoghar, also known as “Baidyanath Dham” and “Baba Dham“, is located in the state of Jharkhand, India. Due to the location of Baidyanath Jyotirling in the city of Baidyanath, the place got its name Deoghar, where Baba Baidyanath Shiva in the form of Jyotirlinga, and Shakti Swarupini Mata Parvati, resides in the middle of the Baidyanath temple, in the Shakti Peeth.

Baidyanath Temple commonly called Baidyanath Dham. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India and is considered to be the holiest abode of Lord Shiva. Baba Baidyanath Temple of Deoghar is very famous. Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple is also a Shakti Peeth, where the heart of Mother Sati fell, due to which it is also known as Hriday Peeth. It is said that all the wishes of those who come here are fulfilled. That is why this linga is also called “Kamna Linga”.

Baba Baidyanath Temple is one of the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva and also known as Baba Baidyanath Dham. Baba Baidyanath Dham is the prime attraction in Deoghar. The Baidyanath Temple is also a Shakti Peeth. Here the heart of  mata sati fell, hence is also known as Hridaya Peeth. It is said that all the whishes of those who come here are fulfilled. for this reason, this ling is also called “Kamana Ling”. Raja Puran mal  built this temple, in 1596.The large and magnificent temple of Baba Baidyanath where the Jyotirlinga is installed, along with 21 other significant and beautiful temples. The Significant and Importance of Baba Baidyanath Temple Deoghar is that this is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga. Through out the year Pilgrims from across India come to Deoghar and visit Baba Baidyanath Mandir for holy darshan.

Baba Basukinath Temple

Baba Basukinath Temple is a very famous Temple in Dumka in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand, India. The temple is located on Deoghar to Dumka route. The Temple is situated in Dumka district, about 42 km away from Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. Baba Basukinath temple is one of the oldest temples in Dumka. In the same compound of Basukinath Dham, small temples of various other god and goddess can found. It is believed that, if the Jal Abhishek ceremony is not done in the Basukinath temple, the worship of Baba Baidyanath Temple Deoghar remains incomplete. Through out the year thousands of Pilgrim from across India come to Deoghar and visit Baba Basukinath Temple for holy darshan.

Naulakha Temple

Naulakha Temple is a very famous Temple in Deoghar. Charushila Devi built Naulakha Mandir in Deoghar. She was the queen of Kolkata’s Pathuriaghata Rajbari. To build this temple, the expenditure was 9 lakh rupees. That’s why the temple called Naulakha Mandir. In this temple, Radhakrishna idol is situated. Through out the year Pilgrims from across india came to Deoghar and visit Naulakha Mandir.

Trikut Pahar

This is the most amazing Places to visit In Deoghar. The ropeway ride is the prime attraction here. The combination of hills and forests always attract tourists. A full variety of wildlife roams along the hills. Tourists come to this hill to visit the Parvati Temple, Trikuteswar Mahadev, Ramsita terrace and enjoy the scenic beauty.

The Nandan Pahar is on the 4 km from the Clock Tower. It can be visited and climb on any morning or evening. Tapovan caves and Hills

This is the also amazing Places to visit in Deoghar. Tapovan charms with its scenic beauty. Crossing the narrow cracks in the cramped cave seems to be endowed with divine grace. On the South-East of the Tapovan, the Shivakunda and Sulkund are there. The saying goes that the Great Sage Valmiki had come here and meditated. Sita Devi too had bathed in the water of the Kund. For the image of 350 ft high, Shiva on the hill is an attractive Place for the tourists.

Nav Durga Mandir

This is also a important places to visit in Deoghar. Nav Durga Mandir established in 1360 at Bompass town in Deoghar, 3 km from Clock Tower. Besides the white marble image of Goddess Durga on a lion, there are many other deities inside the temple.
